Solution to UK Visa fee Payment Problems in Nigeria

We have been notified of the payment declined issues with UK Visa fee payment. This has caused many people to abandon their application for UK VISA. The payment issues are due to the following reasons

The UK visa fees are charged in US Dollars and the payment gateway is configured to debit in USD. We are all aware of the dollar scarcity in Nigeria, this has led to many banks to disable Dynamic currency conversion (DCC). In simple word, you can no longer pay dollars with your Naira Master/Visa Card. Some banks still allow payment with Naira but their limit is too low and not sufficient enough to pay the said fees.

The Solution:

If you are being faced with the payment decline issue, Here is some workaround you can use to successfully pay the fees:

  • USE A LOCAL DOLLAR DOMICILED CREDIT CARD: All banks give credit/Debit card that is funded with Dollars but you need to have a dollar account with the bank to be able to apply for it. Assuming you already have dollar account created for you at your bank, simply request for a credit/debit card linked to the account. Now buy dollars locally and deposit into the dollar account. Then use the card to make payment.
  • GET A FOREIGN CARD: Personally, I use my Bank of America Visa card to pay. If you don’t have a foreign bank account, you can seek the help of friends living abroad and send the link to them.
  • USE NAIJAGOINGABROAD.COM: At NaijaGoingAbroad, we have started helping people to make payment. You can either pay to our account using our payment gateway which accepts naira cards. Also, you can pay to our Naira cooperate account, Khashef Integrated Solutions with Stanbic Ibtc bank or simply visit our Travel Agency Office at 7, Seidu Ajibowu Street, Off Toyin Street, Ikeja, lagos with your payment. To use our service please make sure you have filled your application as extra charges apply if you need our assistance to complete your application. Make sure you only need payment service, for that, we only charge the naira value you were supposed to pay to the UK embassy and #2,000 service charge. Note that payment is instant and you will see that payment is completed in your dashboard within 5 minutes.

Very impressive my UK visa payment carried out in minutes! Kudos. Despite not even meeting you. We talked over the phone. Thank you so much.

Please, must the Visa fee be solely paid online? Can I pay in the Bank? I was about submitting my application, then suddenly I ran into something WORLDPAY? Is Naira MasterCard acceptable?

    Please, advise.
